UNICEF Spokesperson In Gaza: ‘This Is The Destruction Of A Society Brick By Brick, Child By Child’
UNICEF spokesperson James Elder described the worsening humanitarian conditions in Gaza during his latest visit, reporting widespread hunger, limited access to clean water, and a rise in preventable diseases. Speaking from the ground, Elder said he had visited hospitals hit by airstrikes and noted that children had been killed in Khan Yunis, including one boy who was the only survivor from his family after a strike on a designated safe zone. He warned that if the current restrictions on aid continue, famine will follow, as malnutrition and disease reinforce one another. Elder said the crisis is the result of man-made conditions, taking place amid ongoing bombardments across the Strip.__
