Just a video showing a 2.95 million high score in The Coil activity for Call to Arms.Bungie made changes to the event which allows the use of positive modifiers without losing points, along with nearly all of the loadout restricted options being equal (no more 3x bow is needed). Power level only plays a slight part in the points difference, compared to before where it was impossible to reach the thresholds at lower power. So the goal is still to these with the highest number of negative modifiers possible, while also using as many of the positive modifiers to support your build. Each of the activities have a different scoring system behind them, and here's how The Coil works:
Points in this is purely based on completing the activity as quickly as possible. The amount of enemies you defeat will not change the points you get, so go as fast as possible. This is the same scoring system as Heliostat and The Coil (minus the bonus objectives and high value target), but not the same for Proving Grounds.
As for the run itself, it was decent overall, but room for improvement. I got the load-delay before the third boss, which wasted a massive amount of time. I'm not sure if I just needed to move forwartd a bit more, or it was just the same time, but either way it's happened a few times now and I'm tired of losing time to it. I also decided to run Nothing Manacles over Contraverse as you get the extra grenade charge and you don't need to waste time charging it up. With Grenadier you nearly always have grenades up anyway, so it works out faster this way imo. I think Getaway would still be slightly faster, but you lose 1 modifier score from only having locked loadout vs touche.
The goal is to have at least one run with each activity since the update, and then I'll likely leave the event there. I've also posted 3 different The Coil runs in the last week, so that's enough for me. I think this run will probably hold up for 1% at the end, but I feel like Heliostat will be difficult due to the nature of fireteams being naturally a lot faster there due to the split objectives vs solo.
