Global diesel price surge fuels inflation and economic hardship

In Europe, consumers are facing sharply higher fuel bills and some are turning to electric vehicles. In the United States, diesel prices have reached record highs.
The situation is particularly severe in Gaza, where fuel shortages are forcing hospitals to adopt austerity measures that threaten patient care. Supply disruptions linked to strikes on Russian infrastructure and instability in the Middle East are adding to pressure on global fuel markets.
