Paciente operado queda atrapado en ascensor de hospital cubano

En este fragmento del show Hola! Ota-Ola, el activista cubanoamericano Alex Otaola denuncia la gravedad del suceso ocurrido en el Hospital Provincial de Ciego de Ávila, donde un paciente recién operado quedó atrapado en un ascensor junto a sus familiares. Otaola utiliza este hecho como ejemplo contundente de la profunda crisis hospitalaria en Cuba, donde ni siquiera se garantiza el funcionamiento básico de los equipos médicos ni la atención humanizada.

Con tono mordaz y crítico, el influencer arremete contra la pasividad del pueblo cubano ante estos abusos. Se pregunta por qué la indignación no se traduce en acciones colectivas y visibles: “¡No vayan a cantar con Silvio, hagan un conato en la puerta del hospital!”. La situación sirve como catalizador para una reflexión mayor sobre el silencio, la sumisión y la cultura del aguante en la isla.

El fragmento también plantea la doble moral de quienes, desde el exilio o el extranjero, siguen enviando dinero a una estructura que no protege ni respeta la dignidad humana. “No me pidan plata para Cuba”, ironiza Otaola al citar el testimonio de una persona que se niega a seguir alimentando un sistema de víctimas cómplices. Esta es una denuncia cruda, directa y necesaria.
