Ribuan orang ini terdiri dari berbagai unsur dan elemen, mulai dari masyarakat sipil, petani, hingga jemaah Gereja Huria Kristen Batak Protestan (HKBP).
Untuk informasi, aksi penolakan ini terjadi musabab PT Toba Pulp Lestari hendak mengakuisisi tanah milik warga Tapanuli Utara, Sumatera Utara.
Sebelum menggelar doa bersama, massa lebih dulu berkumpul di depan Kantor Persekutuan Gereja-Gereja Indonesia (PGI) di kawasan Salemba, Jakarta Pusat, kemudian long march ke Tugu Proklamasi.
