Ayah Christiano Bantah Beri Uang Damai ke Keluarga Argo, Ini Katanya!
KOMPAS.TV - Ayah Christiano Tarigan, Setia Budi Tarigan, akhirnya muncul ke publik setelah mencuatnya kasus kecelakaan maut yang melibatkan putranya.Selain menyampaikan permohonan maaf atas tewasnya Argo Ericko Achfandi akibat ditabrak putranya di Sleman, Yogyakarta, ayah Christiano mengatakan sejak awal pihaknya tidak menggunakan pengacara atau bantuan pengamanan lainnya dalam menghadapi kasus ini.
Setia Budi juga membantah tuduhan bahwa pihaknya telah memberikan uang kepada keluarga korban. Ia menegaskan bahwa komunikasi yang dilakukan hanya sebatas pengurusan jenazah dan pemakaman.
Argo Ericko Achfandi, mahasiswa Fakultas Hukum Universitas Gadjah Mada, tewas tertabrak mobil yang dikendarai oleh mahasiswa Fakultas Ekonomika dan Bisnis UGM, Christiano Tarigan, pada Sabtu, 24 Mei lalu.
Keluarga Argo menyebut pihaknya mengapresiasi permohonan maaf keluarga pelaku, namun berharap proses hukum terhadap Christiano Tarigan yang kini telah ditetapkan sebagai tersangka berjalan adil dan transparan.
Hingga kini, penyidik masih mendalami kasus kecelakaan mahasiswa UGM tersebut. Polisi mengungkap bahwa pelat mobil tersangka Christiano sempat diganti usai kecelakaan terjadi.
Tiga orang yang diduga terlibat dalam penggantian pelat palsu mobil milik Christiano kini telah diperiksa.
Menurut polisi, motif penggantian pelat nomor tersebut adalah untuk mengaburkan fakta bahwa saat kejadian tersangka menggunakan nomor polisi palsu.
Setelah ditetapkan sebagai tersangka dalam kecelakaan yang menyebabkan hilangnya nyawa Argo, Christiano masih ditahan untuk menjalani proses penyidikan.
