Über 30.000 Fans reisen jedes Jahr an – auf die Halbinsel Ferropolis bei Dessau. Dabei fing alles ganz klein an: in einem Jugendclub in Chemnitz mit gerade mal 1.000 Menschen. Das splash! Festival hat in über 25 Jahren große Hypes, Krisen und Debatten durchlebt und ist in dieser Zeit erwachsen geworden.
Der Doku-Zweiteiler ist ein Rundumschlag über die Festivalgeschichte und zeigt, wie eng Hip-Hop und das splash! miteinander verwoben sind.
