Hari ke-9 Pencarian 7 Pekerja PT Freeport Terjebak Longsor, Lokasi Korban Belum Ditemukan
PAPUA, KOMPAS.TV - Pencarian 7 pekerja PT Freeport yang terjebak di longsor tambang bawah masih terus dilakukan.Hingga hari ke-9, belum ada komunikasi yang bisa dilakukan dengan para pekerja.
Upaya penyelamatan 7 pekerja masih menghadapi tantangan besar. Lokasi pekerja yang terjebak longsor masih sulit dijangkau.
Tim evakuasi bahkan sudah mencoba membuat lubang untuk memasang kamera demi mengetahui keberadaan tujuh karyawan tersebut, namun hingga kini hasilnya belum terlihat jelas.
Dalam keterangan tertulis, PT Freeport menyampaikan upaya penyelamatan para petambang.
Tim penyelamat bekerja tanpa henti untuk membuka akses menuju lokasi keberadaan karyawan, meski terus-menerus menghadapi tantangan besar dan risiko keselamatan tinggi, kata VP Corporate Communications PT Freeport Indonesia, Katri Krisnati.
Sementara itu, pasca dilanda longsor, Menteri ESDM Bahlil Lahadalia bilang operasional tambang PT Freeport Indonesia dihentikan sementara.
Fokus dialihkan untuk mencari 7 pekerja yang dikabarkan masih terjebak di tambang longsor.
Bahlil bilang telah melaporkan situasi soal terjebaknya pekerja di tambang milik PT Freeport Indonesia.
Sebelumnya, pada Senin 8 September 2025 lalu terjadi longsor di tambang bawah tanah Grasberg Block Cave, pukul 10.00 malam WIT. Akibat insiden ini, 7 pekerja tambang Freeport Indonesia masih terjebak di lokasi longsor.
