In this video, I discuss Bitcoin's price volatility, and how to survive it as a hodler:
1) Your Bitcoin holdings should not exceed your Bitcoin knowledge or conviction
2) If you're stressed out of your mind, "sell down to the sleeping point"
3) Go outside, touch grass, get sun on your skin, jog on the beach, hike in the mountains, spend time with family and friends, pet your dog or cat
4) Don't check the Bitcoin price hourly or even daily
5) Don't medicate yourself with alcohol or drugs as a method of stress relief
6) Turn off the news
Focus on learning about Bitcoin, rather than relying on other people's opinions. You shouldn't be outsourcing your investment ideas to me or anyone else. You need to study BTC until you feel it in your bones. Otherwise, you'll never be able to survive the hodling journey.
Bitcoin's volatility is a great blessing. It keeps the tourists away. It flushes out the weak hands and transfers their BTC to stronger hands, which helps to strengthen the network as a whole.
Bitcoin crashes are like forest fires-- they burn up the dry brush and make the forest healthier.
