Job-Krise Made in Germany – welche Arbeitsplätze haben Zukunft? | Presseclub

Die deutsche Industrie steckt tief in der Krise. Besonders die Autobranche trifft es hart: Innerhalb eines Jahres sind dort 51.500 Stellen verloren gegangen – fast 7 Prozent aller Arbeitsplätze. Absatzflauten, aggressive Konkurrenz aus China und der teure Wechsel zur Elektromobilität machen den Herstellern schwer zu schaffen. Dazu kommt der Zollstreit mit den USA, der deutsche Exporte zusätzlich verteuert. Kein Wunder, dass die ganze Branche mit Spannung auf die Automesse IAA in München blickt, die kommende Woche startet. Können die neuen Modelle die Trendwende einleiten?

Doch nicht nur die Autoindustrie ist unter Druck. Auch andere Branchen wie Maschinenbau und Metallverarbeitung kämpfen mit Absatzflaute und Stellenabbau. Hohe Energiekosten, Billigimporte u.a. setzen auch der Stahlbranche massiv zu. Die Rohstahlproduktion ist so niedrig wie zuletzt in Zeiten der Finanzkrise. Bundeskanzler Friedrich Merz reagiert und hat sowohl einen Auto- als auch einen Stahlgipfel im Kanzleramt angekündigt. Die großen Fragen lauten: Welche Hilfen sind denkbar, kann die Politik Arbeitsplätze wirklich retten? Welche Fehler haben die Unternehmen gemacht? Sind bestimmte Industrien am Standort Deutschland nicht mehr wettbewerbsfähig? Welche Arbeitsplätze können stattdessen entstehen?
