The Internationalist issue #85 | Arpitha Kodiveri

This summer saw an acute heatwave hit South Asia, with cities such as Delhi and Lahore reporting temperatures such as 49°C and 48°C respectively.

As our planet continues to get warmer, there's an urgent need to protect, not just our natural environment, but also vulnerable communities at the risk of displacement.

For issue #85 of The Internationalist, Arpitha Kodiveri sits down with Tanya Singh to discuss her book, Governing Forests, where she expands on the role of environmental law in mitigating the challenges faced by communities most at risk during this climate crises.

Arpitha Kodiveri is a scholar of international justice and Assistant Professor of political science at Vassar College. She previously worked as an environmental lawyer supporting Adivasi and forest-dwelling communities in India.
