How NOT to optimize Rust…
👉Join the Rust Live Accelerator waitlist: https://letsgetrusty.com/join/wv-E4lmBchwGHcCan AI agents actually make production Rust code faster? I test an AI optimization workflow on ripgrep, examine the benchmark results, and review the three changes Codex made. We explore benchmark gaming, correctness checks, and why faster-looking numbers aren't enough to confidently ship an optimization. Your understanding of the code, architecture, and domain still matters.
