Михаил Селезнев — филолог-библеист, доктор филологических наук, профессор Института классического востока и античности ВШЭ, руководитель образовательной программы «Библеистика и история древнего Израиля» ВШЭ. В 1991—2010 гг. — ключевой переводчик и главный редактор нового перевода Ветхого Завета (вышел в свет в 2011 г. в Российском Библейском Обществе).
