Ketua Steering Committee Muktamar X PPP sekaligus Wakil Ketua Umum, Ermalena, menyebut.
Bahwa pencalonan Agus tidak sah karena tak memenuhi syarat dalam AD/ART partai.
Ia menjelaskan, Agus belum pernah menduduki jabatan satu tingkat di bawah ketua umum selama satu periode.
Selain itu, Agus juga bukan kader asli PPP karena sebelumnya berasal dari PKB.
Di sisi lain, Muktamar X PPP menetapkan Muhammad Mardiono sebagai Ketua Umum PPP periode 2025–2030.
Sebelumnya, Mardiono dipilih secara aklamasi pada hari pertama muktamar di Ancol, Jakarta, Sabtu (27/9/2025).
Pimpinan sidang Amir Uskara menyebut pemilihan dipercepat karena terjadi dinamika di lapangan, termasuk kericuhan antar-kader.
Mardiono menegaskan bahwa ia terpilih dengan dukungan mayoritas, yakni 28 DPW atau sekira 80 persen suara.
Menurutnya, langkah percepatan dilakukan untuk menghindari keributan yang lebih besar.
