Pernyataan itu dikeluarkan usai pertemuan Rabu siang di Shanghai, China, (30/7/2025).
Sebelumnya, pada Rabu pagi, Pemerintah Thailand mengecam Kamboja yang dituduh menyerang sejumlah lokasi di perbatasan kedua negara sepanjang Selasa malam dan Rabu pagi.
Pertemuan di Shanghai dipimpin Wakil Menteri Luar Negeri China, Sun Weidong selaku mediator dan tuan rumah.
Delegasi Thailand dan Delegasi Kamboja terlihat akrab dalam sesi foto bersama dengan Wamenlu Sun.
Pihak China mengatakan, pertemuan tersebut adalah upaya diplomatik Beijing, dan China mengupayakan peran konstruktif dalam membantu menyelesaikan konflik perbatasan Thailand–Kamboja.
