Bahkan para dokter dan perawat dari Israel ikut memukuli dan menyiksa para tahanan Palestina.
Mereka memperlakukannya seolah-olah benda mati.
Abu Salmiya menyatakan setiap tahanan yang ditahan pasukan Israel kehilangan berat badan sekitar 30 kg dan tidak diberi makanan.
Menurutnya, sempat selama dua bulan, tidak ada tahanan yang makan lebih dari sepotong roti sehari.
Abu Salmiya menyebut, Israel nyatanya tidak mengajukan dakwaan apa pun terhadap dirinya meskipun telah mengadakan persidangan tiga kali.
Pihaknya tak punya kesempatan untuk bertemu dengan pengacara.
Dr. Mohammed Abu Salmiya, direktur kompleks medis Al-Shifa, yang ditangkap pada akhir November dalam serangan pertama dari dua serangan Israel di fasilitas di Kota Gaza, dibebaskan bersama dengan 50 tahanan Palestina lainnya.
Pembebasan mereka telah memicu protes di Israel dan dikritik di seluruh spektrum politik, serta oleh keluarga sandera Israel yang diculik oleh Hamas selama serangan mematikan 7 Oktober.(*)
