Jokowi Restui, Erick Thohir Sebut Piala Presiden 2024 Ajang Simulasi Regulasi Baru Liga 1 2024/25
JAKARTA - Ketua Umum PSSI Erick Thohir, menyambangi Presiden Joko Widodo (Jokowi) untuk membahas turnamen pramusim Piala Presiden 2024. Dari hasil pertemuan tersebut, Erick bisa menyimpulkan baha Piala Presiden akan digelar dalam waktu dekat ini, tepatnya sebelum Liga 1 2024-2025 berlangsung.Hal tersebut disampaikan Erick yang ditemani Maruarar Sirait usai menghadap Presiden Joko Widodo (Jokowi) di Istana Kepresidenan pada malam hari ini Rabu (10/7/2024).
Erick mengatakan bahwa banyak klub liga 1 dan PSSI berharap adanya turnamen sebelum memulai kompetisi. Nantinya, klub yang mengikuti Piala Presiden akan dipilih.
Erick mengungkapkan bahwa turnamen Piala Presiden akan dibuka pada 19 Juli mendatang di Bandung, Jawa Barat dan Presiden Jokowi akan menghadirinya.
Erick juga menyebut bahwa status Piala Presiden merupakan turnamen pramusim yang sudah beberapa kali bergulir. Dan saat ini Piala Presiden kembali digelar ditengah perubahan jadwal Liga yang diatur untuk 3 tahun kedepan.
Erick menyebut berdasarkan informasi dari Ketua Panitia Piala Presiden Maruarar Sirait, bahwa hadiah bagi pemenang Piala Presiden yakni Rp 5 miliar.
"Oh Ini, Pak Ara (Maruarar) mengumpulkan dana besar, ini akan hadiahnya 5 M juara satunya. Wow," kata Erick
