La Mundial con Spursito está de vuelta para el Mundial 2026 de Estados Unidos, México y Canadá.
Hay selecciones que clasificaron al Mundial y simplemente dijeron que NO participarían. Desde berrinches épicos hasta boicots políticos, hubo selecciones que le dieron la espalda a la Copa del Mundo. En este primer capítulo repasamos todos esos momentos insólitos: Uruguay rechazó defender su título en Italia 1934 como protesta porque los europeos no quisieron ir a Montevideo en 1930. Argentina y Uruguay boicotearon Francia 1938 porque la FIFA no cumplió su promesa de alternar sedes entre Europa y América. En Brasil 1950, India renunció al Mundial por el alto costo del traslado y un desacuerdo con las normas sobre indumentaria, mientras que Escocia se negaba porque no había ganado el Campeonato Británico. En 1966, 15 selecciones africanas boicotearon el torneo en protesta porque la FIFA solo les asignó una plaza para toda África, Asia y Oceanía. Y llegando a lo más reciente, el caso de Irán en 2026 y su pulso con Estados Unidos como sede.
