The Real Zimbabwe (NOTHING Like I Expected)
Zimbabwe is NOTHING like I expected. Is Zimbabwe safe for tourists? What is it actually like to travel here? In this Zimbabwe travel guide and travel documentary, we journey deep across the country to discover its vibrant cities, ancient history, breathtaking landscapes, diverse wildlife, and incredible people. Our African adventure begins in Harare, the capital city of Zimbabwe, before heading into the Eastern Highlands. We explore the wilderness of Nyanga National Park, take on the thrilling giant swing and zipline at Far and Wide, and travel through the spectacular Honde Valley. Along the way, we meet Tinashe, a Zimbabwean winemaker who shares his inspiring story. At Aberfoyle, we tour the lush tea fields and factory to learn how Zimbabwean tea is produced and exported around the world. We also visit the Vumba region to experience its misty mountain landscapes and local coffee estates.
The journey then takes us to Chishakwe in the Save Valley Conservancy for a true wildlife safari experience. We track rhinos on foot, encounter African wild dogs, elephants, giraffes, and crocodiles, and meet Bryce and the brave ATS anti-poaching team working on the frontlines of wildlife conservation. Next, we visit the ancient Great Zimbabwe ruins near Masvingo, exploring the monumental stone city that gave this nation its name. Finally, we fly to the world-famous Victoria Falls to witness one of the natural wonders of the world.
Whether you are planning a trip or just curious about Africa travel, this video shows the real, raw beauty of Zimbabwe.
