SCHOCK IN CHINA: Inferno in Hongkong! Heftiges Feuer wütet in Hochhaus I WELT LIVE DABEIBei einem Großbrand in einer Wohnanlage mit mehreren Hochhäusern in Hongkong sind mindestens vier Menschen ums Leben gekommen. Mindestens drei weitere Menschen wurden in Krankenhäusern behandelt, zwei von ihnen waren in einem kritischen Zustand, wie aus einer Regierungsmitteilung hervorging.
Wie die Hongkonger Zeitung «South China Morning Post» und andere lokale Medien berichteten, gehörte auch ein Feuerwehrmann zu den Todesopfern.
Zweithöchste Alarmstufe
Der Brand war in der Wohnanlage Wang Fuk Court im Stadtteil Tai Po ausgebrochen und wurde rasch auf Stufe 4 hochgestuft - die zweithöchste Gefahrenstufe in Hongkong. Mindestens drei der insgesamt acht Wohnblöcke mit mehr als 1900 Wohnungen waren laut «South China Morning Post» betroffen.
