TRIBUN-VIDEO.COM- Program Studi Hukum Universitas Pendidikan Muhammadiyah (UNIMUDA) Sorong menggelar kuliah umum bertema “Peninjauan Asas Dominus Litis dalam Perubahan KUHAP di Indonesia dalam Sudut Pandang Politik dan Hukum” di Gedung UNIMUDA Convention Centre, Kamis (20/2/2025). Acara ini menghadirkan akademisi, pakar hukum, dan aktivis untuk membahas dampak perubahan Kitab Undang-Undang Hukum Acara Pidana (KUHAP) terhadap sistem peradilan di Indonesia.
Kuliah umum ini menghadirkan tiga narasumber utama, yaitu Muhamad Hasan Rumlus selaku akademisi, Udin Latief sebagai pakar hukum pidana, dan Akbar Hidayat, seorang aktivis hukum. Ketiganya membahas konsep asas Dominus Litis, yang memberikan kewenangan penuh kepada jaksa dalam menentukan kelanjutan perkara pidana.
Dalam pemaparannya, Hasan menjelaskan bahwa perubahan KUHAP harus tetap menjaga keseimbangan antara kewenangan jaksa dan perlindungan hak-hak tersangka serta korban dalam proses hukum.(*)
