Beatrice Venezi non sarà più direttrice musicale della Fenice. La sua intervista a La Naciòn, nella quale sminuiva i musicisti del teatro veneziano dicendo «si tramandano il ruolo da padre in figlio» le è stata fatale. Il soprintendente Nicola Colabianchi, che da mesi l’ha sempre difesa, ha detto basta. La notizia è stata comunicata ufficialmente nella giornata di domenica e ad accoglierla fuori dal teatro è stato un applauso corale: musicisti, maestranze ma anche le associazioni locali hanno mostrato apprezzamento per la scelta che è stata in grado di mettere la parola «fine» (almeno per il momento) al dibattito che ormai durava da mesi. «La decisione - si legge nel comunicato ufficiale - è maturata anche a seguito delle reiterate e gravi dichiarazioni pubbliche del Maestro, offensive e lesive del valore artistico e professionale della Fondazione Teatro La Fenice e della sua Orchestra. Tali affermazioni, non condivise nel merito e nei giudizi espressi, risultano incompatibili con i principi della Fondazione e con la tutela e rispetto dovuto ai Professori d’Orchestra».
