Turismo en Cuba en caída libre: aviones vacíos y hoteles cerrados
El turismo en Cuba atraviesa una de sus peores crisis en años recientes. Según cifras mencionadas en el programa, entre enero y marzo llegaron a la isla apenas 300,000 visitantes internacionales, poco más de la mitad de los registrados en el mismo período del año anterior. Los aviones viajan con muy pocos pasajeros, y la ocupación hotelera ha caído de niveles de entre 30 y 50 por ciento sostenidos el año previo a apenas un 17 por ciento en el primer trimestre del año.El conductor del programa cuestiona directamente a las agencias de viajes que, según él, siguen promocionando vuelos hacia Cuba con frases como 'estamos vendiendo más vuelos que nunca', calificándolas de mentirosas y de alimentar al régimen. Al mismo tiempo, señala que el cierre de instalaciones turísticas y la reubicación de trabajadores son consecuencias directas de la caída del turismo, atribuida en parte a aerolíneas que han dejado de operar rutas hacia la isla.
En paralelo, el video recoge declaraciones de un encuentro de solidaridad con Cuba celebrado en el hotel Meliá Habana, donde representantes de Chile, Brasil y Colombia calificaron el bloqueo como un crimen de lesa humanidad y llamaron a una mayor acción política e institucional para revertir la situación. El conductor presenta la caída del turismo como una victoria del movimiento que impulsa el 'No travel to Cuba'.
