Guy Dalal hat am 7. Oktober 2023 auf dem Nova-Festival in Israel gefeiert. Als die Terrororganisation Hamas am Morgen Israel überfällt, wird er in den Gazastreifen verschleppt. „Um 6 Uhr morgens war ich so glücklich wie lange nicht. Innerhalb von drei Stunden habe ich dann meine Freiheit verloren und zwei meiner besten Freunde. Sie wurden von der Hamas erschossen“, schildert Dalal im Interview mit ARD-Journalist Jörg Poppendieck. Zwei Jahre lebte er als Geisel im Gazastreifen – die meiste Zeit in einem 80 Zentimeter breiten Tunnel.
