Bundesverfassungsgericht berät über Zwangsbehandlungen
Es kann für die Gesundheit eines Menschen absolut nötig sein, dass er Medikamente bekommt – auch, wenn er das nicht will. Bei Menschen mit Behinderungen oder Demenzkranken kann das ebenfalls manchmal nötig sein.Für diese Zwangsbehandlung müssen die Patient:innen teilweise fixiert, also ans Bett gefesselt werden. Das Besondere: Die Medikamente dürfen immer und ganz egal, wie der Einzelfall ist, nur im Krankenhaus verabreicht werden. Dahinter steckt etwa der Gedanke, dass man dort besser auf Nebenwirkungen vorbereitet ist. Das Bundesverfassungsgericht prüft nun, ob das für alle Betroffenen gleichermaßen sinnvoll ist.
