Pasukan perlawanan Palestina Hamas juga turut mengutuk pencegatan tersebut sebagai kejahatan pembajakan dan terorisme maritim terhadap warga sipil.
Otoritas Palestina juga mengutuk pencegatan dan penahanan tersebut.
Di Barcelona, para pengunjuk rasa memecahkan atau menyemprotkan slogan-slogan anti-Israel di jendela toko dan restoran yang dinilai mendukung Israel.
