La casa de té de Laoshe fue fundada en Beijing en 1988, convirtiéndose en la primera casa de té de cultura popular en la ciudad tras la reforma y la apertura de China. Su predecesor fue un puesto de té que vendía tazones por dos centavos en la zona oeste de Qianmen en 1979.
