En medio del malestar social, Miguel Díaz-Canel recorre termoeléctricas en una gira que promete soluciones pero solo deja discursos. Mientras el gobierno habla de «programación» y «factor de coincidencia», los ciudadanos bloquean calles y gritan «agua, corriente y libertad».
En ese contexto, la frustración se multiplica y conservar alimentos es cada vez más difícil. En el mercado negro la carne del pitirre abejero, un ave migratoria, se vende a 400 pesos la libra, reflejo brutal del hambre y la desesperación.
Pero detrás del apagón material hay otro más profundo. Un estudio del intelectual Dagoberto Valdés Hernández define este fenómeno como el «daño antropológico» del totalitarismo, una herida invisible que ha moldeado durante décadas la mente y el espíritu de los cubanos.
Miedo, desconfianza, resignación y simulación son las marcas de un sistema que no solo apagó la electricidad, sino también buena parte de la esperanza nacional. Hoy, entre la oscuridad y la protesta, Cuba busca encender algo más que la luz: su dignidad.
