Kondisi ini dikarenakan massa ingin melanjutkan aksi demo namun dihalau oleh polisi dengan gas air mata.
Dikutip dari Tribunnews.com, bentrok pecah itu terjadi di kawasan Jalan Otto Iskandar Dinata atau Jalan Otista Raya.
Ratusan warga melakukan aksi hingga mengakibatkan arus lalu lintas dari arah Cililitan menuju Kampung Raya tersendat.
Petugas dari Polres Metro Jakarta Timur berupaya membubarkan aski.
Namun massa menolak hingg akhirnya terjadi kericuhan di ruas Jalan Otista Raya.
Berdasarkan video yang beredar tampak petugas menembakkan gas air mata ke arah kerumunan.
Sementara massa membalas dengan lemparan batu dan benda-benda lain.
Akibat kericuhan sejumlah barrier beton pembatas lajur khusus Transjakarta di Jalan Otista Raya porak-poranda terdorong.
Adapun demo ini menjadi memanas seusai driver ojol bernama Affan meninggal dilindas rantis Brimob pada Kamis (28/8) malam.
Demo besar-besaran pun akan dilakukan BEM Seluruh Indonesia (BEM SI) imbas driver ojol dilindas rantis Brimob
