US Warship Abraham Lincoln Hit by Iran Strike? Claim and Counter-Claim.
Iran's Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) has claimed that ballistic missiles and drones struck the US aircraft carrier USS Abraham Lincoln in the Sea of Oman during rising Middle East tensions. Iranian state media reported that the carrier strike group retreated after the alleged attack.
However, the United States and US Central Command (CENTCOM) strongly denied the claim, stating the USS Abraham Lincoln continues operations supporting Operation Epic Fury.
Reports also suggest that a US Navy vessel fired warning shots at an Iranian ship that sailed close to the carrier group. With two US aircraft carriers deployed in the region and ongoing military operations involving Israel, tensions between the US and Iran are escalating rapidly.
