Großeinsatz in Kirchdorf auf Poel: Seit 08:00 Uhr laufen die Vorbereitungen für die Rettung von Buckelwal Timmy auf Hochtouren. Bergungstaucher rücken mit Spezialgerät an, um den geschwächten Wal vorsichtig zu unterspülen und mit Seilen zu sichern. Ziel ist es, eine Plane unter das Tier zu ziehen und es aus dem flachen Wasser zu bergen. Unterstützt wird die riskante Aktion von der DLRG mit einem Großaufgebot an Booten und Rettungskräften. Der Einsatz ist gefährlich – und entscheidend für Timmys Überleben.
