PUTINS KRIEG: "Wir haben einen Patt" – Militärexperte sieht neues Kapitel im Kampf gegen die Russen

Der Russland-Experte Gerhard Mangott bewertet den möglichen Start der EU-Beitrittsverhandlungen mit der Ukraine als wichtiges Signal, warnt jedoch vor überzogenen Erwartungen. Eine Vollmitgliedschaft sei weiterhin Jahre entfernt. Gleichzeitig sieht er eine veränderte militärische Lage: Die Ukraine habe den russischen Vormarsch durch den Einsatz moderner Drohnen- und Robotersysteme weitgehend gestoppt. Für neue Friedensgespräche fehle Europa bislang jedoch eine gemeinsame Strategie. Auch bei einer möglichen Vermittlungsrolle der EU bleiben nach Einschätzung des Experten viele Fragen offen.
