Quando il meteo non è dalla nostra parte, tra voli notturni, pioggia battente e nebbia fitta, volare diventa più difficile. Paradossalmente, è proprio in questi momenti che l’elicottero diventa indispensabile: cercare dispersi, portare soccorsi urgenti e raggiungere luoghi complessi. L’idea progettuale nasce dal team T&I della divisione Elicotteri, sempre all’ascolto dei bisogni futuri dei clienti civili: offrire ai piloti una sorta di “sesto senso digitale”, capace di vedere dove l’occhio umano non arriva per assicurare più elevati livelli di sicurezza, in particolare nelle missioni di ricerca e soccorso (SAR).A questo scopo abbiamo utilizzato l’intelligenza artificiale per ricostruire, in tempo reale, una mappa 3D di ciò che accade attorno all’elicottero. Una mappa costruita grazie a sensori a infrarossi e radar, capaci di “vedere” nel buio e nella nebbia, ma che senza l’AI produrrebbero dati difficili da interpretare Receive SMS online on sms24.me
