Presiden Bolivia Menunjuk Komandan Militer Baru Setelah Upaya Kudeta
JAKARTA, KOMPASTV - Presiden Bolivia menunjuk komandan baru angkatan bersenjata Bolivia pada Rabu (26/6/2024).Momen itu setelah kendaraan lapis baja menabrak pintu istana pemerintah Bolivia.
Luis Arce menggambarkan peristiwa tersebut sebagai upaya kudeta oleh militer yang menodai konstitusi Bolivia.
"Saat ini, kita hidup melalui upaya kudeta oleh militer yang menodai seragam dan berupaya melanggar konstitusi, namun kita juga mengandalkan militer yang mengetahui bahwa negara kita tidak punya hak untuk melakukan kudeta. konstitusi dan penghormatan terhadap hukum yang berlaku adalah yang paling penting," kata Luis Arce dalam pernyataannya di Facebook dikutip lewat AP.
Jose Sanchez pengganti Jose Zuniga, ditunjuk sebagai Panglima Angkatan Darat Bolivia.
"pemerintahan yang sah tetap berkuasa sesuai dengan apa yang diwajibkan oleh undang-undang negara bagian tersebut," kata Sanchez dalam pernyataannya.
