الجهبذ | لماذا يموت الأوروبيون من الحر؟ وما علاقة ذلك بنا في العالم العربي؟
في هذه الحلقة من برنامج الجهبذ مع بشر النجار، نعود إلى صيف 2003 في فرنسا، حين تحولت موجة حر غير مسبوقة إلى كارثة صامتة أودت بحياة نحو 15 ألف شخص، معظمهم من كبار السن الذين عاشوا وماتوا وحدهم. لكن القصة لم تنتهِ عند ذلك الصيف، إذ واصلت موجات الحر حصد آلاف الأرواح في أوروبا، وصولاً إلى السنوات الأخيرة. ونحاول أن نجيب عن عدد من الأسئلة: لماذا تبدو أوروبا أكثر عرضة لخطر موجات الحر رغم أنها ليست القارة الأشد حرارة؟ وكيف جعل تصميم المباني، وغياب أجهزة التكييف، وشيخوخة السكان، والعزلة الاجتماعية، ملايين الأوروبيين أكثر هشاشة أمام ارتفاع درجات الحرارة؟ ولماذا لا يكفي أن تكون الدولة غنية ومزودة بالكهرباء لمواجهة الحر؟نتطرق أيضاً إلى موجة حر 2022 التي تسببت بعشرات آلاف الوفيات، وإلى تأثير الاحترار والرطوبة في جعل موجات الحر أطول وأشد، ونكشف كيف يمكن للفقر والتفاوت الاقتصادي أن يحولا الحرارة من أزمة مناخية إلى مسألة حياة أو موت.
وفي النهاية، نطرح سؤالاً لا يخص أوروبا وحدها: هل نحن في العالم العربي مستعدون فعلاً لمستقبل أشد حرارة؟ وهل سيكون التكييف والكهرباء والبنية التحتية كافية لحمايتنا أم أن التضامن الإنساني قد يكون أحياناً خط الدفاع الأخير؟
