#IrlandaIsraele: una partita che va oltre i 90 minuti

Il 27 Settembre, nella lega B di #NationsLeague, si è giocata Irlanda-Israele, una partita che è durata molto più di 90 minuti e che, in quanto a discussioni, possiamo considerare non ancora terminata. Le immagini hanno fatto il giro del mondo e sono diventate simbolo di una protesta che non ha alcuna intenzione di interrompersi, ma, anzi, proprio in vista del rematch previsto per il 4 ottobre in campo neutro, potrebbe infiammarsi ulteriormente.

Il possibile boicottaggio e le pressioni sulla nazionale irlandese

Per ricostruire i fatti, bisogna ritornare ai giorni precedenti alla gara, quando la notizia di un possibile boicottaggio da parte irlandese si fa strada sul web e su gran parte delle testate giornalistiche, sportive e non. Una parte consistente dello spogliatoio sembrerebbe non avere alcuna intenzione di giocare la partita contro Israele. La questione palestinese e i fatti di Gaza sono molto sentiti nel Paese e anche nelle istituzioni, e la squadra è da tempo oggetto di numerose pressioni in patria affinché boicotti entrambe le sfide (sia andata che ritorno) contro gli israeliani. E diversi giocatori hanno aderito al sentire di parte dell'opinione pubblica.
