Afghan nationals arrested worked at same base, NY post reports
The New York Post reports Rahmanullah Lakanwal, the suspect in the shooting of two National Guardsmen in Washington, D.C. worked at the same counterterrorism base as Mohammad Alokozay, the man accused of posting a video of himself on TikTok indicating he was making a bomb to target Fort Worth, Texas.The Post now saying Alokozay worked as a security guard at the base with both men overlapping for years; however, it was not clear if the two men met or interacted, according to the last Chief of Staff for the Afghan Army before the fall of Kabul. He told the Post that Alokozay was in the unit for six years, guarding the towers inside the base.
Fox News Digital previously reported that Lakanwal worked with various US government entities, including the CIA, as a member of a partner force in Afghanistan, entering the US in August 2021 under "Operation Allies Welcome."
