NG4: Fresh MN [Chapter 15]
Ryu "afterthought" Hayabusa makes his debut in these chapters. I'm honestly really not a fan of him in this game, they just slapped his NG3RE moveset in there, removed the hold and directional moves and threw some random values on the same stock 4 Ninpo he's been stuck with for nearly 20 fucking years. It's just super disappointing.Still, Ryu is Ryu, and it's better than nothing. His moveset is still fast and fluid and Gleam turns him into budget-Vergil which has its moments. Aerial Gleam-Y is probably his strongest attack, two will nearly always delimb anything in the game barring maybe super enemies like those late-game Oni. Just doing XYX GleamY is enough to kill anything below elites.
Inferno kills enemies, even Van Gelfs. Windblades clears chaff but is overcosted. Void, when hitting enemies during their breakable moves, can and will OHKO (yes, OHKO) bosses. Phoenix has its uses too, especially since it's so cheap and gives on-demand i.frames.
Will note that this game has the worst targetting-system I've ever used. Often times stuff just doesn't go your way as a result.
This chapter also has one incredibly insane checkpoint where you're basically doing like 8 fights in a row, I got my first attempt in there but died at the last fight, and was just awe struck at reloading way back. I left that part in. Receive SMS online on sms24.me
