I Tried The Entire Menu At Yorkshire’s Most Viral CafeI went to Yorkshire to find one of the most talked-about cafes in the UK.
In this video, I visit Fract, a viral Yorkshire cafe serving brunch, burgers, sandwiches, bao buns, fried chicken, steak and eggs, French toast and one of the wildest cafe menus I’ve seen in Britain.
This is not a normal cafe. It is a food spot built by people with proper restaurant experience, big ideas and a completely unexpected setting, including a Pilates studio inside the same building. So I went to find out why everyone is talking about it, meet the people behind it, and order the entire menu.
I start by speaking to Chef Kieran about his story, leaving Michelin star kitchens and bringing that level of cooking into a more casual cafe setting. Then I learn how Fract came together and why this place has become one of Yorkshire’s most viral food spots.
Then it is time to order the full menu.
I try the brisket Benedict, with slow-cooked beef, eggs, sauce and proper brunch energy, before moving on to picanha steak and eggs, one of the biggest plates on the menu.
Then comes the viral dish: the scallop, bacon and egg bun. A proper mad breakfast sandwich with seafood, bacon, egg and the sort of idea that makes people stop scrolling.
After that, I find out why there is a Pilates studio attached to the cafe, before getting into chicken and waffles, KFC-style woodland mushrooms, and the Dirty Fract Burger.
Then I try a sandwich inspired by Anthony Bourdain’s favourite: mortadella, before meeting Brad, one of the owners, to hear how he went from estate agent to running one of the most talked-about cafes in Yorkshire.
Finally, I finish with a crispy pork belly bao bun and apple crumble French toast, before talking about work-life balance, running independent food businesses and why Fract has connected with so many people.
