L'annuncio è di grande rilevanza: "La Food and Drug Administration informerà i medici che l'uso di paracetamolo o Tylenol, può essere associato a un rischio molto elevato di autismo".
"Per questo motivo, raccomandano vivamente alle donne di limitare l'uso di Tylenol durante la gravidanza, a meno che non sia strettamente necessario", ha aggiunto Trump. A seguito dell'annuncio, i principali media di informazione nazionali e internazionali hanno puntato il dito contro il POTUS, riportando le dichiarazioni dell'EMA (Agenzia europea per i medicinali): "Non ci sono nuove evidenze scientifiche". Il mainstream però non ha cercato se ce ne fossero di "vecchie". L'internet l'ha fatto.
"In realtà sconsigliamo l'uso dei nostri prodotti durante la gravidanza. Grazie per aver dedicato del tempo a esprimere le tue preoccupazioni oggi". Il tweet rinvenuto di recente su X è del profilo del farmaco Tylenol, ed è datato 7 marzo 2017. La Casa Bianca lo ha riportato ironicamente all'attenzione, retwittandolo. Oltre a quel post, è riemerso anche un articolo pubblicato su Reuters nel 2013: "Troppo Tylenol in gravidanza potrebbe influenzare lo sviluppo", firmato Kathryn Doyle.
Dopo l'annuncio di Trump, Kennedy Jr ha denunciato le precedenti gestioni: avrebbero minimizzato i sospetti sul legame tra vaccini e autismo. L'avv.
