A finales de 2025 se celebró la Conferencia Central de Trabajo Rural, la reunión anual que impulsa la política agrícola y rural de China y traza la hoja de ruta para el próximo año, en especial en el contexto del inicio del XV Plan Quinquenal del país.
Durante la conferencia, el liderazgo chino enfatizó el carácter estratégico que revisten el sector agrícola, el desarrollo rural y el bienestar de la población campesina, conocidos como los "tres pilares del agro" o "la agricultura, las zonas rurales y los agricultores", para el desarrollo integral de la nación.
