TRIBUN-VIDEO.COM - Ratusan pemuda adat dari tujuh wilayah adat Papua bersama delegasi global bersatu demi penyelamatan hutan hujan tropis terakhir di bumi.
Deklarasi bersejarah ini digelar di tengah hutan adat suku Knasaimos, Kampung Sira, Distrik Saifi, Kabupaten Sorong Selatan, Papua Barat Daya, Jumat (26/9/2025).
Deklarasi yang dinamai Deklarasi Sira itu dibacakan oleh Rossyana Zine Kogoya (26), perempuan adat dari suku Lani.
Melalui deklarasi tersebut, mereka menyerukan pada pemerintah, lembaga, serta pelaku usaha di tingkat lokal hingga internasional untuk mengakui dan melindungi hak-hak masyarakat adat.
Begitu pula dengan menghentikan praktik deforestasi dan ekspansi industri perusak lingkungan.(*)
