Trockenheit und Hitze – und oft genug brennen wieder Wälder. Beim Löschen mit dabei ist meist die Freiwillige Feuerwehr. Wer hier im Einsatz ist, ist in der Regel mindestens 18 Jahre alt. Aber schon viel früher wird der Nachwuchs für den Ernstfall trainiert.Die Jugendfeuerwehr in Overath, im Bergischen Land, übt mit den Kindern und Jugendlichen, was zu tun ist, wenn es brennt. Wo kommt das Löschwasser her, wie werden die Schläuche richtig zusammengesetzt, wann muss eine Atemmaske getragen werden?
Einmal im Jahr findet am Wochenende ein Training unter realen Bedingungen statt. Unsere MOMA-Reporterin war dabei und hat mit angepackt.
