A new report by the US Congressional Budget Office says that the Trump-class battleship project is going to cost much more than expected. US president Donald Trump unveiled the Trump-class battleship plan last December. These are new warships that are supposed to become a part of Trump's Golden Fleet. But after Trump insisted that all the ships should be nuclear-powered, the cost to develop them has increased exponentially. The project was supposed to cost about $160 billion for 15 warships, including the lead ship called the USS Defiant. But now, the CBO puts the cost at $275 billion.
