Sankt Leon (ots) - Am Donnerstagabend, gegen 20.00 Uhr, meldeten Anwohner im Ortsteil Sankt-Leon einen Brandausbruch im Innenhof eines Anwesens in der Neugasse. Betroffen war hier eine ausgebaute Scheune, wobei der Brand sich zu einem Vollbrand entwickelte. Durch die Freiwilligen Feuerwehren Sankt Leon-Rot und Walldorf konnte der Brand rasch unter Kontrolle gebracht und gelöscht werden, so dass ein Übergreifen auf angrenzende Gebäude verhindert wurde. Zwei 57- und 48-jährige Bewohner des Anwesens konnten sich selbständig aus dem Gefahrenbereich in Sicherheit bringen. Verletzte waren nicht zu verzeichnen. Über die Höhe des entstandenen Sachschadens liegen derzeit noch keine Erkenntnisse vor. Da die genaue Brandursache derzeit noch unklar ist hat das Polizeirevier Wiesloch die Ermittlungen übernommen.
