Das kleine Wort „höhengleich“ bekommt in folgendem Fall eine große Bedeutung: Weil an einem frisch sanierten Gleisabschnitt im Unterallgäu der Höhenunterschied zwischen Bahngleis und Straße zu groß geworden war, ist der Bahnübergang auf einmal mit dem Auto nicht mehr befahrbar. Das Gleis ist zwar saniert, aber die Straße ist zur Sackgasse geworden.
