Melalui unggahan di akun Instagram pribadinya pada Senin (13/10/2025), ia mengaku akan bertanggung jawab.
"Sebagai pelatih kepala, saya bertanggung jawab penuh," tulisnya.
Kluivert mengaku merasakan kekecewaan sama seperti masyarakat Indonesia saat Timnas kalah dari Arab Saudi dan Irak.
Meski pahit, ia menyinggung betapa tingginya impian untuk memajukan sepak bola Tanah Air.
Kluivert mengaku telah bekerja sekuat tenaga dalam melatih para pemain Timnas.
"Kami telah memberikan segalanya, dengan hati, dengan disiplin, dan dengan persatuan," sambungnya.
Ia pun mengucapkan terima kasih atas dukungan yang diberikan selama ini.
Meski mendapat banyak like, Kluivert menutup kolom komentarnya.
Sebelumnya, Kluivert menjadi sasaran kekecewaan penggemar Timnas seusai Indonesia kalah 2-3 dari Arab Saudi dan 0-1 dari Irak.
Tagar #KluivertOut menggema di media sosial setelah RI dipastikan gagal lolos ke Piala Dunia di putaran keempat kualifikasi zona Asia.
Patrick Kluivert dan semua stafnya yang berkewarganegaraan Belanda tidak kembali ke Indonesia seusai pertandingan, melainkan terbang ke Negeri Kincir Angin.
