Dalam upaya penyempurnaan sistem peradilan, Mahkamah Agung (MA) bersama para hakim di Indonesia terus melakukan kerja sama dan kajian terhadap sistem peradilan, salah satunya dengan menggandeng Belanda.
Kerja sama ini tidak hanya didasari oleh kedekatan historis antara sistem hukum kedua negara, tetapi juga karena Belanda telah memiliki pengalaman panjang dalam pelaksanaan sistem hukum bahkan sejak sebelum Indonesia merdeka.
