Militer AS menargetkan sejumlah fasilitas nuklir Teheran menggunakan bom dan pesawat tempur.
Israel mengaku telah berkoordinasi dengan AS dalam merencakan serangan tersebut.
Salah satu target serangan AS adalah Fordow, sebuah fasilitas pengayaan uranium yang tersembunyi di lereng pegunungan terpencil di Iran.
AS juga menyebut bahwa mereka menyerang dua lokasi nuklir lainnya, yakni Natanz dan Isfahan.
Mereka disebut menggunakan bom GBU-57 Massive Ordnance Penetrator (MOP).
Bom ini berbobot sekitar 13.000 kg dan mampu menembus sekitar 18 meter beton atau 61 meter tanah sebelum meledak.
Tak hanya itu, AS juga menggunakan pesawat pengebom B-2.
Merespons serangan ini, Organisasi Energi Atom Iran menyebut, tindakan AS sebagai langkah biadab.
Sementara, mereka menyebut jika tak ada peningkatan tingkat radiasi setelah serangan tersebut.
Belum ada laporan rinci kerusakan yang ditimbulkan dan ada atau tidaknya korban luka maupun tewas.
Meski demikian, Iran membantah adanya kerusakan besar yang disebabkan oleh tembakan militer AS.
