A strange OEM image restore?! - Dell Inspiron E1705

In this video, I restored the OEM image on a Dell Inspiron E1705. I had made a Macrium Reflect image of the drive back in 2019, and I wanted to redo it with a different HDD. The hard drive that was originally in the laptop was going bad, so it needed to be replaced anyways.

Something weird happened when restoring the image, which you will see it happen in this video. I believe I found out the reason why it did this, and it has to do with the HPA (Host Protected Area) and the DCO (Device Configuration Overlay) on hard drives. I talked about it in the video, and I referenced this article: https://tabernusupport.freshdesk.com/support/solutions/articles/3000050933-what-is-an-hpa-what-is-a-dco-

I was surprised when this happened, as I had not heard much about this before. I remember this happening to one of my friends a year back with a Dell OEM image, and we were both very confused! I guess we learn something new everyday, right?!

Anyways thanks for watching, and more videos coming soon! This month was a bit busy for me, however I should have more uploads next month for sure!
